We recognize that some guests may feel more comfortable visiting the museum while all others are wearing masks, and we will offer “Mask Monday” on the third Monday of each month at Museum of the Earth. All individuals in the museum will be required to wear a mask on the third Monday of the month.

The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day, the two days after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

If you would like to make arrangements for a group visit to the Museum, please contact the Education Programs Manager at 607-273-6623 x113 or education@museumoftheearth.org.

To ensure the best visit, the Museum limits the group size to fewer than 100 per day.
One adult chaperone receives free admission for every 10 youth. The Museum requires a rate of at least 1 adult per 10 youth.

Eating and drinking is permitted only in designated areas of the Museum, both indoor and outdoor. Picnic tables and chairs will be provided to visitors outside in the Gorge Garden and outside the Museum entrance. Indoor seating will be next to the visitor service desk at the front entrance of the Museum.
For the safety of our visitors, staff, and Animal Ambassadors NO PETS ARE ALLOWED on the grounds or in the buildings at the Museum of the Earth.
Service animals are welcomed.
